I have a different issue, but it's pixel related, the pixels on the right side are stretched, resolution is different on the Raw file (7028x4688) than when raw file is opened in software like Rawtherapee, it's 7032x4680 in Rawtherapee. I wonder if that's dead pixels, but the weird thing is it's on whole right side. But it's not always the whole right side. Resolution is also different if shot in compressed raw than in uncompressed. Do you know if this is fixed in firmware 2.0? I have 1.11 If I shoot in uncompressed Raw +JPG X-fine the jpg is the same resolution as the raw file. But It's a different resolution than uncompressed raw, both are 7008x4672. Uncompressed raw does not show as much of the right side pixel stretch, I noticed in the pic I took indoor in bad light, I see not all pixels were stretched, one spot had some that were not.I got my camera used, I don't know if it's damaged. But unlikely, as it looks like new. This artifact or pixel stretching is only present in the raw file. the JPG has it blurred out it seems, looks smooth.

If this doesn’t work for you at first, switch your camera to video mode! That’s when this trick worked for me!!

I've tried this like 10 times with my A9ii. It's got like 14 red spots. Doesn't take any of them away. Ughh :(

This went over so well I think I will need to make a response to this video. Was testing a newly picked up(used) a7Sii at different video settings and found the low light to be absolutely full of hot pixels. Remapped the sensor as you described and the resulting video was completely clear of hot pixels.

Well, I just got my A7C, and went out to do some shooting. I was getting a blue pixel almost right smack dab in the center. After doing this, and doing some tests, it appears to now be gone. I hope you saved me some headaches, and that this issues never comes back! Thank you so much, and you are a wizard!

You absolute legend. I had two stuck pixels close to each other. This fixed both of them.

YEH MAN! CAN CONFIRM THIS WORKS! Just did it with my A7R3 V3.00. Todays date in Australia: 18/9/21 (thats DD/MM/YYYY). So thanks so much, I was heading off to get some storm cloud pics when I spotted the red pixel and almost shit myself!

Oh my God! It works! I bought an A7Siii today, and i was shocked to see 6 hot pixels!!! Now, everything is fine! But the question is, is there some masking of dead pixels, or it's just some fix of pixels sensitivity. I mean, does this pixels is dead, but hidden somehow, or everything is fine with the pixels? :-)
